Julian C. Whittington

Bossier Sheriff

A Message from the Sheriff

Bossier Parish continues to be the fastest-growing parish north of Interstate 10 with an estimated population in excess of 134,000 people.  Ensuring public safety of all of our residents and those who visit our great parish remains my top priority.

As Sheriff, I can tell you that low crime and the way Bossier Sheriff’s Office deputies provide Courteous, Professional and Responsive (CPR) service is a major reason for such outstanding growth.  We are a progressive parish, as leaders of the parish, city, and state work together to achieve the best quality of life for people in Bossier Parish, and our residents want to live in peace and safety.  When you combine all that,  you’ve got a recipe for success; that’s what we have in Bossier Parish, and I can assure you, other places are taking notice.

In early 2018, Money Magazine named Bossier City as the best city to live in the state of Louisiana.  We already knew that; I’m just glad they confirmed it!

The public expects and deserves to live in a safe community, and we strive to deliver.  Together, we are one team with one goal, and we work hard daily to provide the highest level of public service.
