BOSSIER SHERIFF'S POLICE ACADEMY BEGINS

Eighteen recruits began training today at the North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy in Plain Dealing in order to become Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified law enforcement officers.


NLCJA Class 011 comprises four different law enforcement agencies and will train in various aspects of law enforcement, including officer survival skills, academics, weapons qualifications, physical fitness and chemical weapons over the next 11 ½ weeks.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington and the Bossier Sheriff’s Office host the North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy. The first P.O.S.T.
graduation was held five years ago.
