A Haughton man was arrested Wednesday afternoon for manufacturing methamphetamine at his residence in a rural part of the parish south of Sligo Road.
John A. White, 46, of the 100 block of Vantage Pointe, was contacted by narcotics agents and deputies at his residence after they had received a tip about a possible meth lab at the house. White was subsequently arrested after he showed them a meth lab he was using at his residence. After obtaining a search warrant, agents also seized drug paraphernalia and approximately one gram of suspected methamphetamine from his residence.
White was charged with manufacture of Schedule II (meth), possession of Schedule II (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking, and his bond is pending.
