Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington promoted a deputy to the rank of lieutenant in a ceremony Wednesday morning in the Sheriff’s conference room at the Bossier Parish Courthouse.
Lt. Darron Kerry was promoted after 10 years of service in the Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Kerry started his law enforcement career in Corrections where he worked for one year. From 2010 to 2016 he served as a patrol deputy until he was promoted to head sergeant for the patrol division. He is now the Executive Officer for Patrol.
“Darron, you have displayed excellent work ethics and leadership in every job you’ve held in the sheriff’s office. This promotion makes me proud to have you on our team,” said Sheriff Whittington, “and I’m honored to be able to promote you to the rank of lieutenant. Keep up the excellent work.”
