Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Haughton woman was arrested over the weekend for driving while intoxicated on Airline Drive, her third arrest for DWI in less than two years.
Cynthia M. White, of the 3100 block of Bellevue Road, was observed by a Bossier deputy driving with no headlights heading south on Airline Drive late Saturday night. When the deputy activated his lights and sirens, White continued driving down Airline Drive and turned east onto I-20 before eventually stopping.
When the deputy made contact with White, he saw four open bottles of beer in her vehicle. White also had two prescription medications which had warning labels concerning consuming alcohol and/or operating a vehicle. White initially refused conducting a Standard Field Sobriety Test, but she eventually submitted to the SFST and performed poorly. She later refused providing an Intoxilyzer sample and urine specimen.
White was previously arrested for DWI in Natchitoches in on March 11, 2010 and another time on May 24, 2011 by Louisiana State Police on the same charge.
White was charged with her third DWI, flight from an officer, operating a vehicle with no headlights and driving with an open alcoholic beverage container. She was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking, and her bond is set at $16,300.
